Get Your Wands Ready: Tour Cities Revealed for “Fantastic Beasts: Wizarding World Wands Supporting Lumos”

by Shelby Dale DeWeese · Published September 2, 2019 · Updated November 11, 2019

The four regional tour cities for Fantastic Beasts: Wizarding World Wands Supporting Lumos have been announced! In anticipation of the release of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald last fall, Warner Bros. Pictures sponsored a dazzling light exhibit outside of St. Paul’s Cathedral in London to promote the film and support J.K. Rowling’s charity, Lumos. The exhibit features nine 15-foot-tall illuminated wands modeled after those of popular Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts characters.

Earlier this year, Warner Bros. announced that fans would have the chance to decide which cities would host the exhibit in advance of the third Fantastic Beasts film by participating in an Internet poll. In March, Warner Bros. announced eight finalist cities, seven in England (Birmingham, Kingston upon Hull, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle upon Tyne, Reading, and Stoke-on-Trent) and Dublin, Ireland.

The poll results are officially in, and Warner Bros. has confirmed that the display will be visiting Kingston upon Hull, Stoke, Reading, and Birmingham. Each city will host the brilliant exhibit in advance of the November 21, 2021, release of the third Fantastic Beasts film, starting in the city with the most votes overall: Kingston upon Hull. If you are in or around any of the four tour cities, get your wands ready – an epic display is headed your way!
