“Cursed Child” Launches in San Francisco, City Hall Lights Up to Celebrate
San Francisco’s Curran Theatre is proudly welcoming Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to its stage, beginning with Part One on Wednesday, October 23 and Part Two on Thursday, October 24. Official performances begin on Sunday, December 1, 2019. Tickets can be purchased either in person at the Curran Theatre box office or online at harrypotteronstage.com now through June 20, 2020. Prices vary from $59 to $199, with premium seats available for every performance if you want the very best view of your favorite Cursed Child moments.
In anticipation of the upcoming performances, San Francisco City Hall will be illuminated with the four glorious Hogwarts House colors: scarlet-red for Gryffindor, blue for Ravenclaw, green for Slytherin, and yellow for Hufflepuff. Along with this, wizarding world fans are invited to gather together at their individual Hogwarts House-themed parties before the first performance at four super-secret locations (of course our minds go straight to the Room of Requirement) near the Curran Theatre.
Fans of the wizarding world can also enter to participate in the Friday Forty, which gives fans the opportunity to purchase tickets (including some of the best seats in the house) for just $40 ($20 per part) for the following week of performances. Friday Forty sales begin every Friday at 1 p.m. PT and are accessible via TodayTix from Monday at 12 a.m. until Friday at 1 p.m. PT. Winners are notified each Friday between 1 and 5 p.m.
The main cast list for San Francisco’s Harry Potter and the Cursed Child performances includes John Skelley as Harry Potter, Angela Reed as Ginny Potter, Benjamin Papac as Albus Potter, David Abeles as Ron Weasley, Yanna McIntosh as Hermione Granger, Folami Williams as Rose Granger-Weasley, Lucas Hall as Draco Malfoy, and Jon Steiger as Scorpius Malfoy.
