From conventions to igloos, high teas to great feasts – there is an event on this list that is sure to appeal to your taste. Check out the latest updates on Harry Potter events happening around the world!

 

Potterfest 2020: Phoenixfest at the National University of Ireland Galway in Galway, Ireland

Potterfest 2020: Phoenixfest will take place this year February 8–9 in Galway, Ireland. The National University of Ireland Galway is hosting Potterfest, and the event has been organized by the Harry Potter Appreciation Society at the University. Visitors can enjoy themed games, cosplay, magical panels, fun classes, role-play workshops, and guest speakers.

 

A Wizard’s Christmas at the Louisville Zoo in Louisville, Kentucky

The Louisville Zoo will be hosting A Wizard’s Christmas on select nights from January 24 through February 15. Tickets for children and adults are currently on sale, with prices ranging from $29.99 to $292. The event will last from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will include a three-course dinner, wizard and creature interactions, magical performances, and a market.

 

Valentine’s at the Drive-In at the Blue Starlite Mini Urban Drive-In in Austin, Texas

The Blue Starlite Mini Urban Drive-In is hosting a month-long event filled with many films to celebrate Valentine’s season. One of the movies included in the line-up is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Tickets can be purchased from the venue’s website. Goblet of Fire will be showing February 8–9 and February 12–15 at various times.

 

Edinburgh’s Capital Sci-Fi Con at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange in Edinburgh, Scotland

David Bradley, who played caretaker Argus Filch in the Harry Potter films, is set to appear at Edinburgh’s Capital Sci-Fi Con February 15–16. This con is a non-profit event that donates proceeds to Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS). Other guests appearing that weekend include Ian Beattie (Game of Thrones) and Colin Baker (Star Wars).

 

Themed Igloo Pop-Up at Gurney’s Montauk Resort and Seawater Spa in Montauk, New York

Gurney’s Montauk Resort and Seawater Spa is hosting a magical igloo pop-up. Each igloo will be themed, and one of the various themes is Harry Potter. The igloos are available through March 1. Visitors can rent an igloo for a two-hour time period for $25 per person. Proceeds from this special pop-up event will go to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

 

Harry Potter Winter Pop-Up at Patriot Place Inside Alice in the Village Tea House in Foxborough, Massachusetts 

Head to Massachusetts this spring for a Wizard’s High Tea open seven days a week through March 31. Tickets are $49 for adults and $30 for children. The food plus a bit of decor will be Harry Potter–themed, and there will be add-on experiences such as potion-making and fortune-telling. Some of the featured food items will include the famous butterbeer and “Sorcerer’s Scones.”

 

The Quiz Show’s Magic & Wizards Event at the Melbourne Showgrounds in Melbourne, Australia

The Quiz Show’s Magic & Wizards event will take place on April 8, and as a treat to Australian Potter fans, James and Oliver Phelps will be attending. The two actors, who played Fred and George Weasley in the films, will also be participating in a Q&A. Tickets range from $42 to $85 and include activities such as trivia and live magicians. There will be grand prizes, including the highest-valued prize – a two-week cruise from London to Orlando.

 

Clued Upp Hosts Witchcraft and Wizardry Outdoor Detective Game in Edinburgh, Scotland 

For fans of the board game Clue, this exciting event hosted by Clued Upp is a magical, life-sized version. Teams of six will scour the streets of Edinburgh for clues to solve a wizard-themed mystery. The event will take place on April 18, and tickets are £42 per person.

 

John Williams to Conduct the Cleveland Orchestra at Severance Hall in Cleveland, Ohio

John Williams, the composer of the first three Harry Potter films, will be conducting the Cleveland Orchestra in some of his most famous scores on April 26. These will include selections from the Harry Potter films, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and more. Tickets are currently available for the concert.

 

Guy Henry will appear at EM-Con at Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham, England

On May 2 and 3, EM-Con will play host to a line-up of well-known actors, including Guy Henry, who played Pius Thicknesse in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Part 2. There are several options for passes into the event: General, Silver, Gold, or Weekend. For General pass-holders, the event will start each day at 11:00 a.m. and end at 5:30 p.m. All other pass-holders will be able to enter at 10:00 a.m.

 

Dublin Wizard Con at the RDS Main Arena in Dublin, Ireland

Harry Potter will make an appearance in Dublin for Dublin Wizard Con on May 30 and 31 for a magical weekend. Tickets are £25 for children and £35 for adults. Activities and events for the weekend will include a magic-alley market, Marauder’s Map treasure hunt, a cosplay contest, magical creatures, a broomstick rodeo, a wizard carnival, a House Cup competition, and much more.

 

Matthew Lewis to Appear at Niagara Falls Comic Con at the Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls, Canada

For the ten-year anniversary of Niagara Falls Comic Con, there will be many exciting celebrity faces from everyone’s favorite fandoms. The line-up includes Matthew Lewis, who played Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter films. This con will take place June 5–7 and will include photo ops, cosplay, workshops, Q&A’s, and much more.

 

Potted Potter at the Peace Center’s Gunter Theater in Greenville, South Carolina

Potted Potter will make an appearance in South Carolina this summer from June 12 to 14. There will be a total of five performances – two matinee performances and three evening performances. Tickets are currently on sale for $55.

 

Harry Potter Films to Be Shown in an Outdoor Theater at Hockwold Hall in East Anglia, United Kingdom

On various nights from July 2 through August 15, the Harry Potter films will be shown on a 50-foot screen with a laser projection system at an outdoor theater. Tickets for adults will be £7, and tickets for children will be £4. Each film will be shown only once and in chronological order. Season tickets are also available through the theater’s website.

 

Radnor’s Wizarding Camp at Hilltop Preparatory School in Radnor Township, Pennsylvania 

Hilltop Preparatory School will host aspiring witches and wizards from first through eighth grade at Radnor’s Wizarding Camp for a week full of magic. This camp will take place August 10–14 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. The children will get to take classes such as Herbology, Potions, Charms, and Quidditch. The cost for residents of Radnor Township will be $395 per person, and for non-residents, it will be $425 per person.

 

Harry Potter–Inspired Immersive Dining Experience Staged by the London Vaults in London, England

The London Vaults will host an immersive show centered around the Harry Potter–inspired Hexborn’s School of Sorcery – a “school for the magical late bloomers.” Audience members will be sorted into their Hexborn houses, attend classes, and explore the school corridors. The show will run from September 14, 2020, through January 10, 2021. Tickets are £30 per person.
