Win “Harry Potter” Books for Your Local Library in the US

Does your local library have enough copies of Harry Potter for everyone to enjoy the magic? If not, you’ll be delighted to hear about the Harry Potter Library Sweepstakes!

Pottermore Publishing, together with Scholastic and Penguin Random House Audio, has launched the Harry Potter Library Sweepstakes to offer any public library in the United States the opportunity to win copies of the Harry Potter books in a variety of formats. Entries can be from public library social media accounts or from individuals on behalf of their libraries.

Until February 29, just post on Twitter or Instagram about what makes your library magical using the hashtags #MyLibraryIsMagic and #Sweepstakes. If you’re posting as an individual, be sure to tag the name of your library.

Three winners will be chosen at random on March 15. Each winning library will receive one copy of each of the seven Harry Potter books in physical hardcover, physical audiobook CD, digital audiobook license, and digital e-book license formats, as well as one copy of each of the first four Harry Potter illustrated edition hardcovers, adding up to a total approximate retail value of $1,500!

We know there’s no shortage of demand for Harry Potter in US libraries. Last month, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone made the New York Public Library’s list of the top ten most-checked-out books in the library’s entire 125-year history. We hope everyone has the opportunity to read Harry Potter through their local library, no matter how large or small that library may be.

I have been a fan of Harry since 2000, a fan of MuggleNet since 2005, and a MuggleNet team member since 2013. I believe in the power of stories to bring people together, and nothing does that quite like Harry Potter. I live in Toronto, Canada.
