Potterhead Running Club to Host Locomotor 8K

Potterhead Running Club has opened registration for its fourth event of 2020: the Locomotor 8K virtual run. Registrants can receive unique goodies for participating in this event, including a shirt available for purchase that all Harry Potter fans will love. The proceeds from the Locomotor 8K will benefit Team Rubicon, a charity that supports veterans and first responders who provide immediate relief to those affected by disasters.

Registration for this 8K event will include a medal with one of the most memorable details of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, when Professor McGonagall and Mrs. Weasley are calling on the knights to defend Hogwarts. This medal will feature a front- and back-detailed bronze warrior knight on a custom sublimated ribbon. To complete this virtual run in style, participants will have the option to purchase a custom T-shirt with the silhouette of the beloved professor on the front and text that says, “I’ve always wanted to use that spell.” The back design features the animals of each Hogwarts House and logos for Potterhead Running Club and Team Rubicon. All registered participants will also receive a custom digital race bib.

Run, don’t walk, to register for this event! A virtual run means you can complete this 8K on your own time and terms. Walk, run, or skip around in your custom shirt and medal to show off your Potter pride in your neighborhood. Potterhead Running Club has set an optional run day for this event as June 17. This is the Ministry’s official day for when the Second Wizarding War began. Team up virtually with your favorite Muggles and commemorate this day in wizarding history.
