by Hannah Howard · Published September 11, 2020 · Updated November 26, 2020

Check out the latest magical events happening this fall! There are several opportunities to have fun and explore in open, outdoor spaces.

On-Field Movie Night at the Hodgetown Ballpark in Amarillo, Texas

On Saturday, September 12, Hodgetown will become “Hodgewarts” for a special showing of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. A big screen will be set up on the field for guests to enjoy. There will be themed food, and guests are welcome to dress up for the event. The gates will open at 7:00 p.m. and the movie will begin at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase ahead of time through the website, by phone, or at the gate. Tickets are not guaranteed for those who want to purchase at the gate.

CluedUpp Outdoor Escape Game in Chesterfield, England

CluedUpp is hosting an outdoor escape game in Chesterfield on September 19. A unique, magical experience has been created that has been described as perfect for fans of Harry Potter and Game of Thrones. Teams will be made up of six people, and their collective mission will be to find clues and witnesses to defeat the dark forces fighting against them. The event will take place on September 19, and teams can start anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. You will need to book ahead to participate.

Harry Potter–Themed Corn Maze in Gambrills, Maryland

If you love corn mazes and think they couldn’t possibly get any better, then you are in for a treat. This corn maze is completely Harry Potter–themed! Some of the features include being Sorted into your Hogwarts House, Quidditch slingshots, broomstick swings, and many magical props, such as the Mirror of Erised, the Fat Lady’s portrait, and Ollivanders. Guests will need to purchase tickets ahead of time to be guaranteed admission to the maze. The maze will run from September 19 through November 8. Tickets range from $11 to $14, with discounted prices for large groups. T-shirts are also available for purchase.

Wizards Festival and Hallows Express Train Ride in Uxbridge, Ontario

The Wizards Festival and Hallows Express Train Ride is a magical, immersive experience for witches and wizards of all ages. It will take place from October 2 through 4 and will be a completely outdoor event. Guests are invited to dress up, as they will be participating in exciting events such as classes, strolls through an enchanted alley, and quidditch tournaments. You can purchase tickets for both the festival and the train ride. Guests are also encouraged to bring a debit or credit card, as the event is avoiding using cash.

If you’re hosting an upcoming magical event, you can submit it to be included in a future Events Roundup by sending all relevant information to submissions@staff.mugglenet.com.
