“Wizards Unite” Unveils Its Biggest Update of the Year: Adversaries

If you’ve been growing weary of the same old Foundables, challenges, and events in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, the game has got just the update to pique your interest once again. In what it is calling the “biggest feature release of the year,” Wizards Unite is introducing a new type of encounter called Adversaries, and it’s looking like it will finally explain those multilingual wanted posters that have been hanging around in the Challenge Registry.

You will finally have the opportunity to duel the most iconic villains of the wizarding world, such as Bellatrix Lestrange, Draco Malfoy, Fenrir Greyback, Slytherin’s Basilisk, and even Voldemort himself. But to get to the higher-ranking foes, you’ll have to succeed in a series of battles, and if you lose one, the chain is broken and you’ll have to begin again.

As you defeat each villain, you’ll get rewards such as Wizarding XP, Challenge XP, Defense Against the Dark Arts Books, and Fragments of Adversary Objects. The new Adversaries Registry pages will have over 75 shiny new Objects to collect!

Adversaries will be divided into Feared Adversaries and Lethal Adversaries. Feared Adversaries will appear randomly on the map or during new Adversaries events. They’ll include characters such as Draco Malfoy and Peter Pettigrew, and the series of battles to reach them will be easier than those of Lethal Adversaries.

Lethal Adversaries will include characters such as Bellatrix Lestrange and Dolores Umbridge, and of course, the game isn’t giving them all to us at once. Lethal Adversaries will initially be encountered only during special monthly events, and they will be introduced to the game gradually.

Additionally, you’ll be able to spawn Adversaries with a new consumable item, the Edible Dark Mark.

The update is also coming with much-awaited new Combat Training lessons for professions. You’ll want to master some of these lessons because they will help you to take on Adversaries.

Are you excited to have new foes to battle in Wizards Unite?
