Blazing Trails: Trailer and Release Date Unveiled for Third Season of “Miracle Workers,” Starring Daniel Radcliffe

After Miracle Workers: Dark Ages ended in March last year, the network that airs the series, TBS, hadn’t yet revealed if the show, starring Daniel Radcliffe of the Harry Potter films, would be returning for a third season. After making fans sweat for a few months, it was announced in August that the series would indeed be renewed – and with a change of scenery. Moving to yet another difficult time in history, the series is now set in 1844, with the cast embarking on a journey westward. Earlier this week, it was revealed that Miracle Workers: Oregon Trail will premiere on July 13. TBS then treated fans to the first trailer for the upcoming season.

Daniel is returning alongside castmates Steve Buscemi, Geraldine Viswanathan, Jon Bass, and Karan Soni. For this upcoming season, Daniel will be playing the neurotic (don’t forget that) Reverend Ezekiel Brown traveling on a wagon train moving west on the infamous Oregon Trail. TBS graciously gifted fans with a trailer for all of their troubles.

Between the 1840s and 1850s, many settlers traveled west from Missouri to Oregon on a path known as the Oregon Trail. Several families set off west in search of land, prosperity, and the hope to start a new life in a time period known as the Great Migration of 1843. Unfortunately, the route proved to be perilous because it claimed thousands of lives, primarily due to disease. While it is certainly one of many grim moments in American history, the cast and crew of Miracle Workers are clearly not afraid to rewrite seemingly dark time periods with dry, absurdist humor to great success. After all, Miracle Workers: Dark Ages managed 27.5 million views across various platforms. Considering these statistics and the hilarious trailer for Oregon Trail, we can probably expect yet another great season.

Miracles Workers: Oregon Trail premieres on TBS on July 13. After playing an angel working in the Department of Answered Prayers and a duck-loving prince, what type of character do you think Daniel has gotten himself into now? Considering Daniel’s prolific and varied résumé, can we expect yet another offbeat role in Ezekiel Brown? Do you suppose that this season will break the fourth wall as much as this trailer did? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

"Hogwarts is my home!" is a phrase that I've uttered more times than any sane person should (and my long-suffering friends can attest to it.) For as long as I can remember, I've always found myself escaping reality into the wizarding world to feel at peace. Instead, I'm more likely wandering the suburbs of South Florida shouting choice "Harry Potter" and Batman quotes at unsuspecting victims.
