Ralph Ineson Talks “Harry Potter,” “The Green Knight” and Teases New Movie

Ralph Ineson is known globally for his roles in major geek franchises, having acted in almost every single one. The British actor is best known, in the Harry Potter fandom, as Amycus Carrow in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Part 2.

Speaking to Gizmodo, Ineson talked about his new and exciting titular role in The Green Knight, where his makeup and prosthetics took three and a half hours each morning to apply. Ineson called the role a no-brainer, adding that he was ecstatic when he was offered it. Ineson has already had plenty of practice. He revealed that the costume for The Green Knight was already intimidating and scary so he was able to focus on the playful nature of the character instead.

During the same Gizmodo interview, Ineson touched very briefly on his time on the Harry Potter set, speaking of how strict the security was at Leavesden Studios. Most Harry Potter fans already know this, but Ineson confirmed it once again, saying, “There were random searches at the studio gates for people taking any props or anything off set.”

This is also how Ineson mentioned that he is currently working on a film, saying that his current movie’s security is even tighter than that of Harry Potter. Although he didn’t elaborate on which movie he’s working on, he did confirm that it is one for Lucasfilm/Disney.

Ineson also spoke fondly of the Harry Potter fandom, saying he has received “nothing but love.” He also praised the Game of Thrones fandom for the same level of affection.

The Green Knight has been Ineson’s highest-rated film, with it given a 7.5/10 on IMDb. If you’re wanting to see what the film is like, check out the trailer below.
