As the 20th anniversary of the first Harry Potter film draws nearer, Warner Bros. is rolling out all sorts of magical treats for fans of the Wizarding World franchise. Along with the news that a display of Wizarding World wands would be coming to London’s Leicester Square, Warner Bros. also mentioned that the luggage trolley from Platform 9 3/4 would be making its way beyond King’s Cross to other train stations in the United Kingdom and now Ireland.
Its first stop, as announced in a press release today, is Edinburgh, Scotland. If you’re currently in the city, you’ll want to catch the photo opportunity soon; the trolley is only going to be in Edinburgh through Monday, October 18!

The first 100 fans to visit the trolley were given LEGO Harry Potter items to celebrate, and fans in Dublin now have a reason to rejoice: The trolley, previously scheduled to end its journey in Belfast, will be making its way to Dublin’s Dundrum Town Centre. The updated dates and locations for the trolley tour are the following:

We’re back with another update from our favorite touring star! Platform 9 3/4’s luggage trolley successfully landed at its penultimate stop at Lanyon Place station in Belfast this morning. Witches and wizards were lining up to pose for photos with the famous trolley, with one young fan saying that he “thought [he] was going to fly through the wall” when getting ready for his photo. If you want to check it out while it’s in Belfast, make sure to get to the station before the trolley departs on October 31. If you do miss the trolley at this stop, don’t worry – on November 5, the trolley will travel to its final destination, Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin, where it will stay through November 7.
UPDATE (November 5):
The beloved luggage trolley from Platform 9 3/4 has finally arrived at the final stop of its tour. Unveiled earlier today at Dundrum Town Centre in Dublin, Ireland, the magical cart will be available for photo opportunities until November 7, and then it will finally make its way home. It is highly recommended that witches and wizards in the surrounding areas head over this weekend for a chance to experience the magic of running through a wall.
In fact, go ahead and double down on the magic to make it a full Potter weekend. To commemorate the arrival of the luggage trolley, the Movies @ Dundrum movie theater, also located at Dundrum Town Centre, will be hosting special screenings of all the Potter movies on November 6 and 7. For younger Potter fans who never got to experience the magic of the earlier Potter flicks in theaters, this weekend will be the perfect opportunity. Not only will they get to experience running through the barrier between platforms nine and ten, but they’ll get to see Harry do it on the big screen as well.
