“Hogwarts Legacy” Preorders Being Canceled on Some Platforms

Some gamers are in for more disappointment as Hogwarts Legacy draws closer to its public launch. Not only does the highly anticipated video game from Warner Bros. Games have three different release dates, but now some players are finding their preorders have been canceled by the game’s publisher.

Recent delays for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Hogwarts Legacy, which are now scheduled for release on April 4, are reportedly the reason behind the preorder cancelations. According to Game Rant, “This version of the game is included in the Digital Deluxe Edition for the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions, which is causing the pre-order cancelation.”

Some Twitter users have reached out to the WB Games Support account to find out more information. Many inquiries regarding the placement of new preorders or refunds have been redirected to Xbox or PlayStation’s individual customer support pages. WB Games Support has assured players affected by the cancelations that they can reorder Hogwarts Legacy again without any issues.

As of the latest updates, those who preordered a Digital Deluxe or Collector’s Edition on PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X|S will have access to the early release on February 7 while the official release of standard versions will be on February 10. The Nintendo Switch version will be released on July 25.

Hang in there, gamers. We’ll be playing Hogwarts Legacy soon enough.
