The event is being screened by CineConcerts and is in partnership with Castle Concerts. Castle Concerts representative Mark Mackie discussed his excitement at bringing the magic of Harry Potter to Hogwarts’s home country of Scotland.

For many years we have been hoping to bring together three of Scotland’s major gifts to the world – ‘Harry Potter,’ the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, and Edinburgh Castle – for this incredibly special project. We are absolutely delighted that the planets have aligned this year and we are able to present this truly unforgettable experience.

The concert has toured worldwide, including in Italy, Spain, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, the United States, Mexico, Australia, and the United Kingdom. While the event began with showcasing the score from Philosopher’s Stone, all other films have since been shown, such as Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which headed to the Hollywood Bowl back in 2018.

If you live nearby and are looking for a wholesome night of spellbinding wonder and magic, then this experience is for you. With the historic Edinburgh Castle watching over you to make you feel like you’re really at Hogwarts, it’s sure to be a night to remember.

The event is taking place on July 14, 2024, and tickets will go on sale on March 22 at 9:00 a.m. GMT (5:00 a.m. EDT). If you’re interested, you’d better set your alarms because it’s sure to be a spectacular evening.
