“Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery” to Release Volume 2 of “Beyond Hogwarts”

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is creating new ways to play within the wizarding world, and gamers will surely want to check them out. On July 3, the popular narrative-based RPG by Jam City is set to release the second volume of its recent Webby Award-winning update, Beyond Hogwarts. As with its previous iteration, the storytelling is compelling, as are the extensive new locations.

 

 

Volume 2 promises to reveal more canonical content and adventures with events such as the opening of the Chamber of Secrets in Hogwarts. Players will also be able to be promoted by the Ministry of Magic, allowing them to journey to new places across the wizarding world and meet such characters as Gilderoy Lockhart and Dobby. The volume also includes an exclusive new adventure called The Flight of the Weasleys. In it, gamers will have the opportunity to meet Ron and the twins as they endeavor to fix their broken flying Ford Anglia to get to platform nine and three-quarters before Ginny’s first year at Hogwarts begins. A free reward will also be available on July 3 in celebration of the update.

 

 

For those who have not yet graduated within the world of Hogwarts Mystery, there are also ways to access Beyond Hogwarts content. These players will complete special tasks, such as helping Professor Dumbledore test the defenses around the Sorcerer’s Stone, including the three-headed one. Players can also participate in a first-ever “Sorcerers Olympiad,” completing physical and magical tasks while solving a mystery. Finally, you may want to evaluate the space in your bathtub, as the giant squid will be released for care and adoption.

And, as if we could forget, July 31 marks Harry Potter’s birthday. Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery will celebrate the occasion this year with a special giveaway.
