Additional Stills from “Crimes of Grindelwald” Released!
It hasn’t been long since we got a new still of Newt and Tina in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald from Empire magazine, but we have even more of the upcoming sequel to look at (and perhaps ponder)! USA Today included Crimes of Grindelwald in its article of must-see films of 2018, and two new stills from the film came with it!
First, we have a still of actor Jude Law as the younger Albus Dumbledore. We’ve previously seen Law in promotional photos of the full cast, but we’re now seeing young Dumbledore for the first time. Although there’s no word on who the character is behind Dumbledore in the still, he certainly looks to be deep in thought.

USA Today also published a still of Johnny Depp as Grindelwald, pictured alongside a female follower identified only as Rosier (played by Poppy Corby-Tuech). The name should ring a bell since members of the family also had ties to Lord Voldemort.

In the caption of the image provided by USA Today, Rosier is described as “mysterious.”
The dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (left, Johnny Depp) is recruiting followers like the mysterious Rosier (Poppy Corby-Tuech) for his nefarious plans in ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
If that’s anything to go by, we have a feeling that she’ll be up to no good.
Here’s a synopsis of Crimes of Grindelwald.
At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Redmayne). But making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings. In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.
