Jane Perry Joins the Cast of “Fantastic Beasts”

While we’re all still pondering yesterday’s rumor that Sinéad Matthews has joined the cast of “Fantastic Beasts”, we’ve got our next official cast announcement! Jane Perry, best known for her work in “World War Z” and “The Three Musketeers”, will play an as-yet-unknown role in the film, as announced on Twitter today by Olivia Bell Management. What’s more – she’s already at work on the film!

Thousands Turn Out for “Fantastic Beasts” Modesty Auditions

It’s been an exciting day in the “Harry Potter” fandom; Warner Bros. hosted an open casting call in London for “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”. They were looking for Modesty, a “haunted” 8-12-year-old girl with “an inner strength and stillness. She has an ability to see deep into people and understand them.” In all likelihood, they found Modesty today among the thousands of hopefuls who turned up to audition.

Rowling herself, or the talented artists who illustrated those original covers, but also editors, publicists, agents, sales reps, and so many others who believed in Harry just as much as we did. We have recently lost one of those remarkable people – Susan Jeffers Casel, who was a copy editor for the US editions of the books.
