We thought J.K. Rowling was devoting all of her time to Pottermore, but it turns out that she has written something else: the foreword to a new book coming out this fall entitled, “Dear Me: A Letter to My Sixteen-Year-Old Self.” More than seventy celebrities, writers, actors, and musicians including: Kathleen Turner, Suze Ormond, James Franco, and Aasif Mandvi write a letter to their sixteen-year-old self.
As we announced last week, the Harry Potter Alliance has teamed with SplashLife to hold the “Imagine Better Contest: Art and Ideas to Defeat the Climate Crisis.”
“Harry Potter fans” everywhere were encouraged to submit either their art or idea on how to fight the crisis.
The Harry Potter Alliance is running two concurrent competitions, one for art and one for ideas, demonstrating how young people can fight Voldemort’s most prized horcrux: climate crisis.
Over the last ten days since we announced this contest, we have received three hundred essays from fans all over the world explaining how the Harry Potter series has influenced and affected their lives. Congratulations to the following winners.
