Even though the tickets to Universal Orlando’s “A Celebration of Harry Potter” sold out within minutes, until now fans have had only a vague idea of what to expect when they arrive at the park in January. Although a full schedule has yet to be released, the website for the event has been updated to include some of the activities guests can look forward to.
2014 will certainly be a busy year when it comes to Harry Potter theme parks. The Orlando expansion is due to open, Hollywood will be knee-deep in its construction phase, and now it seems the Japanese version will be making its grand entrance!
The Leaky Cauldron restaurant will be part of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter’s upcoming Diagon Alley expansion. This exciting news follows the theme park’s new promotional art, which hinted at what else was to come.

As you can see above, the first of the train cars belonging to the Hogwarts Express are being put into place.
Fans are beginning to gear up for the opening of the new expansion area of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Orlando next year. We are getting excited, too! Universal Orlando’s website recently added a new promotional image showing the existing Hogsmeade section on one side and the new Diagon Alley image, with emphasis on Gringotts Bank and the dragon, on the right side.
Looks like things are well under way in the expansion for the Diagon Alley section of Universal Orlando’s Wizarding World. Although it’s only a blurry shot, it’s still exciting to see this Gringotts cart being loaded into place!
