MuggleNet Fan Fiction Thursday: “Becoming Rita”, AudioFictions, & more!

This week’s MuggleNet Fan Fiction feature not only includes an award nominated story, but a major site update! Enrollment is now open for “Hogwarts 101: Exploring Harry Potter, Years 1-3”

The Academy is an online, intensive, three-week literature and writing program designed for rising high-school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Students in Academy courses will engage in live, interactive classes with college professors (such as Professor Amy H. Sturgis, Ph.D.), delving into the works of fantasy that they love and respect most.

Sony announces new “Harry Potter Book of Spells”

Sony will publish a new book with “Wonderbook” technology that was presented at its E3 conference. “Wonderbook” is an augmented reality platform for Playstation 3 that looks like a very fancy pop-up book. The first book to be published with the technology will be a Harry Potter book of Spells – an interactive spell book that will let the reader flip through the pages and learn spells from the magical world of Harry Potter.
