J.K. Rowling announces a “Potter” related charity project!

Barely a month after J.K. Rowling announced that she has “no current plans” of writing a book about the Marauders, she announces an AMAZING new charity project – and while it’s not a prequel, it IS a Potter spin-off!

We have been told that the new material will actually come in the form of a comic book, and will center around Fred and George’s lives after they leave Hogwarts in Harry’s fifth year. We will see the twins as they deal with their mother immediately after leaving Hogwarts, how they perfect all of the magical items that they later sell in Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, and all of the shenanigans that come along the way.

The book will be sold exclusively online, and all proceeds will benefit Lumos, J.K. Rowling’s charity that benefits disadvantaged children in Europe.

While we don’t have a page count or release date confirmed as of yet, we are so beyond excited for this new material!

How do you feel about Jo’s decision to write about the Weasley twins?
