Evanna Lynch lends voice to Typhoon Haiyan survivors

UNICEF ambassador Evanna Lynch is helping promote Voices of Children in Emergencies, a campaign launched by UNICEF and the EU Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection. The campaign uses celebrity voices to raise awareness for children in humanitarian emergencies whose own voices aren’t being listened to.

In the video below, Evanna helps tell the story of Michel, a boy in the Philippines who lived through Typhoon Haiyan last November.

Back in June, we also shared news of Evanna’s visit to Tacloban, Philippines, where she met survivors and helped distribute supplies. Here is a video summarizing her experience:

I have been a fan of Harry since 2000, a fan of MuggleNet since 2005, and a MuggleNet team member since 2013. I believe in the power of stories to bring people together, and nothing does that quite like Harry Potter. I’m an annoyingly proud Canadian and live in Toronto.
