Daniel Radcliffe continues filming “Now You See Me: The Second Act” in Macau

As you may recall, the sequel to 2013’s caper thriller Now You See Me began filming late last year in London, and production has now moved out of the UK to Macau. With Daniel Radcliffe confirmed to join the ensemble cast of Now You See Me: The Second Act, the city seems to be taking a careful approach to the movie’s production. As reported by Macau News, the city’s Transport Bureau has released a statement notifying the public of various area closures:

Shooting for a Hollywood film is taking place in Macau today [March 11, 2015], forcing the city to temporary [sic] shutdown [sic] roads, bus stops and meter parking spaces in the city centre and Macau Science Centre from today until next Thursday.

The report also notes that the Transport Bureau’s statement did not include the actual name of the movie being shot, suggesting an air of secrecy surrounding the project. However, earlier in the week, fan site Simply Daniel Radcliffe corroborated that the production was indeed making its way overseas. The scene Daniel is set to be shooting is rumored to involve the meeting between his character and that of co-star Jay Chou.

Now You See Me: The Second Act is due for an American release June 10, 2016.
