Tom Felton and Natalia Tena to Team Up in New YouTube Series

Tom Felton has played his share of crooked characters, from Draco Malfoy to Doctor Alchemy on The Flash. Now, he’s joining Natalia Tena (Nymphadora Tonks) in Mika Watkins’ new YouTube sci-fi thriller series, Origin. The show centers around a group of strangers who find themselves trapped on a spacecraft bound for a distant planet. As they fight to survive, these passengers soon realize that one among their number is not who they claim to be.

Felton plays Logan, an angry antagonist to Tena’s character, Lana, whose resilience and toughness make her the group’s captain. Starring alongside them is Shun, played by Sen Mitsuji, who also quickly emerges as a natural leader among the passengers, due to his cool head and razor-sharp reflexes. Not much else is known yet about these characters and their journey through space, but we’re sure it will be thrilling!

Origin also features Adelayo Adedayo, Nina Wadia, Johannes Johannesson, Wil Coban and Tara Fitzgerald. The first two episodes will be directed by celebrated director Paul W.S. Anderson (Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, AVP: Alien vs. Predator).

Filming is currently underway in South Africa, and the series will premiere later this year on YouTube Red. We can’t wait to see Tena and Felton take on this new project!
