Producer David Heyman reacts to Oscar snub for “Deathly Hallows – Part 2”
Producer of the Harry Potter film series, David Heyman, shared his reaction to today’s announcements of the Academy Awards nominations by remaining graceful in spite of the fact that the finale was the largest box office hit of the year and remains at the No.3 position on the all-time World Box Office gross:
“What I am very happy about is that the audience seemed to respond and that’s really the important thing, isn’t it. But you know what? I’m really happy that the arts department and the special effects department and the makeup department were all recognized”
While it’s true that the fans should be incredibly honored that the departments for the three(3) Oscar nominations were recognized, many fans of the series are sharing their utter disappointment on the social media, especially for the lack of consideration for Best Supporting Actor Alan Rickman, and the “empty” spot for the Best Picture category since votes were less than the 5% required as we reported earlier.
