“Harry Potter” illustrator Jonny Duddle to appear at Lancaster Castle

Are you excited for the new Bloomsbury editions of the Harry Potter books? Well, now is your chance to meet the illustrator, Jonny Duddle, in person!

Duddle will be appearing at Lancaster Castle’s Shire Hall on Wednesday, September 3 at 6:30 p.m. to talk about his work and sign copies of the new editions. There will also be a costume competition for children who dress up as Potter characters or creatures.

Duddle said about getting the job from Bloomsbury,

I painted the first cover as a test piece last year but was concerned that I couldn’t give it the time I would’ve liked due to other commitments. So when I heard that J.K. Rowling and the team at Bloomsbury wanted me to paint the rest of the series, I was gobsmacked.

Attendance at the event is free but must be booked in advance. To book a spot, call SilverDell Bookshop at 01772 683444 or email info@silverdellbooks.com.

And if you can’t make it to the event, check out MuggleNet’s exclusive interview with Jonny Duddle, as well as all the cover images, here! The new editions will be released on September 1.

Will you be adding the new Harry Potter Bloomsbury editions to your collection?
