6 Creative Ways to Experience the “Harry Potter” Series

by Ross · March 7, 2015

Potter Series Collection

1. Glow-in-the-dark Harry Potter books

Reading in daylight just not your thing? Grab these glow-in-the-dark Potter books and enjoy reading through the night.

These books, made by Hungarian student Kincső Nagy, have laser-cut shapes for covers and glow in the dark, as mentioned above.

Note: these books are not currently for sale.

2. E-book at Oyster

With the increase in recent technological capabilities, e-books have become a very popular way to read. Oyster – a streaming service for books – now offers a customizable reading experience for Harry Potter lovers. Oyster subscribers can read books on Amazon Kindle Fire, Nook HD, Apple iOS, and Android devices.

3. Pottermore

Okay, this one is a bit more obvious to the average Potter fan, but Pottermore is a HUGE wealth of knowledge and I can’t imagine attempting to re-read the series without it. Many a detail and back-story are revealed on the site, and there’s always new information being released – it’s truly the ultimate Harry Potter fans’ guide to Harry Potter.

4. Audiobook

Ideal for those with long commutes, listening to Potter on Audiobook may bring new life to the story for you. You can listen anytime, anyplace, and even with your eyes closed!

5. Conventions

Conventions are, in our opinion, one of the best and most interactive ways to experience a fandom in its entirety, and Harry Potter is no exception to this. So when we introduced MuggleNet Live! Expo Patronum, we knew we’d be bringing fans an experience that would likely go unmatched. From programming to panels, from movie stars to magic moments, MuggleNet Live! Expo Patronum is a con not to be missed!

6. MuggleNet’s Alohomora! Podcast

The last (and one of our personal favorites) is to read the books alongside MuggleNet’s very own Alohomora! podcast. Our podcast gives you all of the best from the above; the flexibility to listen wherever and whenever, the ability to listen vs. read, customization and the ability to read in the dark! So head on over and re-read with us!
