Prepare Your Patronus: New Night Show Featuring Dementors Is Coming to Universal Studios Japan!

Think of your happiest memory, practice your incantation, and have some emergency chocolate ready: A new nighttime show is coming to Universal Studios Japan, and it will feature Dementors!

Beginning on April 21 and continuing until November 5, the show will feature projection mapping set above the Black Lake next to Hogwarts Castle. According to the press release, Hogwarts students will fight off Dementors as they swoop around the lake and castle. Let’s hope they’ve had Harry or Lupin as their Patronus teacher! The night sky will surely be lit with magic.

Additionally, new Wand Magic locations will be available in Universal Studios Japan’s Hogsmeade Village. Inside the Magic is reporting these could include spells to cast fire or snow.

If this new show is anything like the projection mapping show performed at the Universal Studios Hollywood grand opening, or like the Death Eater event previously held at the Japanese theme park, it is sure to be an absolute delight to witches, wizards, Muggles, and No-Majs alike.
