New Documentary Special on J.K. Rowling Airs

Harry Potter is a story that has changed countless lives all over the world, but perhaps the life it changed the most was that of its creator, J.K. Rowling. Now, a new special on Reelz will look at just how that happened.

Not much is known about the contents of the special except that it will track the hardships and trials Rowling faced while writing and publishing the Harry Potter novels and all that happened after. It is hardly the first special to examine Rowling’s story; in 2007, J.K. Rowling…A Year in the Life premiered in the UK on ITV. ABC News was also reported to have a documentary about the author in the works.

The special, which originally aired on April 5, will be rebroadcast this upcoming Sunday, April 16, 2017, at 6 p.m. ET on Reelz.
