MinaLima Makes Mischief in New Limited-Edition Print!

The countdown is on for the beginning of A Celebration of Harry Potter at the end of this week, and in continuing with tradition, MinaLima has released a photo of their new print, exclusive to A Celebration of Harry Potter 2018!

 

 

In the print, everyone’s favorite joke shop, Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, takes center stage. (Sorry, Zonkos!)

This will be the fifth time MinaLima attends the Celebration, and there is sure to be plenty of beautiful prints for you to view – 57 different ones, to be exact! Stop by the MinaLima exhibit to view all their amazing work and purchase your own copy of the limited-edition Celebration print! However, you better act quickly! There are only 200 of these available! Visitors to MinaLima’s Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes at the Celebration will also receive their annual collectible badge.

MinaLima returns to “A Celebration of Harry Potter” 2018

All-new Limited-Edition Souvenir Print Available

(London, January 2018) London-based graphic design studio MinaLima returns to the annual “A Celebration of Harry Potter” at Universal Orlando Resort January 26-28, 2018. This will be Miraphora Mina’s and Eduardo Lima’s fifth time at this unique and official event, especially conceived for fans of J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World.

Always creating enchanting visitor experiences for this event, this year MinaLima’s exhibit will be inspired by the vibrant world of Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. The memorable film set of the three-storey shop that was home to hundreds of original MinaLima designs, capturing the humour and larger-than-life appeal of the eccentric Weasley twins.

Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima have designed a vivid and visually immersive homage to Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes for this year’s Expo at Universal Orlando Resort. Fans and visitors will be greeted with a magical feast for the eyes. The floor will be adorned with a colourful collage of designs of the Weasley twins’ most outlandish inventions, while dramatic decorations will cascade from the ceiling above.

The principal exhibit will be a curated selection of 57 collectible graphic art prints from the studio’s vast collection – a 17-year journey through the eight films of J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World. Countless graphic props such as The Marauder’s Map and Daily Prophet newspapers have now become iconic designs. Also on display will be MinaLima-designed posters, stationery and accessories from the Harry Potter films.

For the fifth consecutive year, MinaLima has also designed a special souvenir print for A Celebration of Harry Potter 2018 which will be on display and available to buy exclusively at Universal throughout the weekend events. In keeping with the theme of MinaLima’s installation, the premium print, created as a limited edition of 200, also celebrates the relentless energy of the Weasley twins and their magical shop. Visitors to MinaLima’s Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes at “A Celebration of Harry Potter” 2018 will also receive their annual and now collectible badge.

Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima will be available to meet and greet fans and will participate in an exclusive panel entitled Graphic Design for the Harry Potter Films with MinaLima. In this panel, they will share insights into their role as graphic designers for film series, outlining typical tasks and challenges, referencing the Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes set to describe this process, from script to screen. Images of their work will be projected throughout the panel.
