“LEGO Harry Potter” Available on New Platforms; New “Harry Potter” App in the Works
While we know some people are still loving Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery and the challenges it releases frequently, fans of different gaming platforms are in luck. We speculated in July that the LEGO Harry Potter games might be coming to new gaming systems, and now it has been confirmed.
In a press release (see below), Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, and the LEGO Group announced the launch of the LEGO Harry Potter: Collection. The game is being promoted as a “remastered compilation of LEGO Harry Potter games.”
The game will be one package that includes LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7. For the first time, the game will be available on Nintendo Switch and Xbox One.
“The LEGO Harry Potter: Collection for Nintendo Switch and Xbox One brings the entire LEGO Harry Potter adventure to a new generation of players to enjoy,” said Jonathan Smith, Head of Production and Strategic Director at TT Games. “Gamers can journey back to Hogwarts for a light-hearted, humorous and interactive journey told through all of the Harry Potter films, sure to delight fans and newcomers alike.”
If that wasn’t exciting enough, game developer Zynga has announced that it will be releasing a Harry Potter game in the second half of 2019. There is no word yet on what this game will be like. Zynga is best known for Farmville, Zynga Poker, and Words with Friends. Could Spells with Wizards be coming our way?
