Universal Orlando Resort Unveils Its 2020 Holiday Plans for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter

The most wonderful time of the year has arrived at Universal Orlando Resort. Universal has finally unveiled its holiday plans for the resort, and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be receiving a dazzling Christmas makeover from November 14, 2020, to January 3, 2021. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is split between two theme parks: Hogwarts and Hogsmeade in Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Diagon Alley in Universal Studios Florida.

At Islands of Adventure, the shops of Hogsmeade, which will be decorated with garlands and lights, will be serving special treats and drinks. The Frog Choir, comprising Hogwarts students from all four Houses and their croaking pets, will also be singing seasonal melodies. At night, parkgoers can enjoy a very special projection-mapping show, “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle.” Vibrant lights will be displayed on its gothic walls, while carol tunes fill the air and park cast members reenact winter activities at Hogwarts, such as dancing at the Yule Ball and building snowmen.

Take a stroll down Hogsmeade to soak in the warm Christmas spirit!

Over at Universal Studios Florida, Diagon Alley will similarly be transformed with festive decor and lighting that gives it a fantastical vibe. Holiday treats and drinks will also be available for purchase. Most importantly, keep your eyes out for Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees, who have a special show to herald in Christmas.

While you’re there, check out Universal Orlando’s other new Harry Potter merchandise additions, including interactive wands and Bertie Bott’s Every-Flavour Beans face masks. Of course, we cannot forget that we are still currently in the midst of a deadly pandemic, so parkgoers must follow all safety measures and safe distancing guidelines. Will you be celebrating the end of the year with a trip to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter?
