UPDATED: Rumored Upcoming LEGO “Harry Potter”: Hogwarts Icons Set
UPDATE (September 3):
The 76391 Hogwarts Icons – Collectors’ Edition set has been delayed in the US, Canada, and Mexico. Its original release date of September 2 has now been pushed forward almost an extra two weeks to September 15 due to a “shipping delay.”
While this is frustrating for Potterheads who live in these locations, it’s safe to say that the set, which includes Hedwig and other iconic life-size Harry Potter objects, will be worth the wait!
UPDATE (August 6):
It’s official: The rumors of the Hogwarts Icons set have been confirmed, and it is now live on the LEGO website for $249.99.

The set is called 76391 Hogwarts Icons – Collectors’ Edition, it contains 3,010 pieces, and it’s set for release on September 2. All icons will be life-size and will include Hedwig, the Golden Snitch, Harry’s glasses, a wand, potions, books, a Chocolate Frog, three exclusive minifigures, a Hogwarts acceptance letter for you to write your name on, and a scarf that can be built with your chosen House colors.
LEGO designer Marcos Bessa discussed how the new 20th-anniversary set is celebrating Harry Potter and the “wonderful people and things found in it.”
Every item in the set is filled with memories, from winning [Q]uidditch matches to iconic potion ingredients, not to mention getting that all-important letter. Building the Hogwarts Icons [-] Collectors’ Edition [s]et is sure to bring fond recollections back for Wizarding World and LEGO fans alike, with this beautiful centrepiece.
It’s safe to say that we can’t wait for September 2!
This year has been a great one for LEGO Harry Potter fans so far. It began with the release of Harry Potter Hogwarts Crest sets and their accompanying soundtracks, and then we saw the arrival of the Hogwarts Moments classroom sets. For its 20th anniversary, golden anniversary minifigures were released as well as special anniversary sets, including 76388 Hogsmeade Village Visit and 76392 Hogwarts Wizard’s Chess.
On top of all that excitement, there’s a rumor going around that a brand-new LEGO set is on its way, and it’s apparently called Hogwarts Icons.
With over 3,000 pieces, it contains a set of iconic wizarding accessories. While in previous years, LEGO has released giant sets such as Hogwarts Castle and Diagon Alley, it looks like it’s moved away from locations, focusing on some of the signature props from the film series.
As you can see in the photo above, the set looks to contain a range of magical props, from Hedwig the owl and Harry’s glasses to a Chocolate Frog and the Golden Snitch. Each of these will be as close to life-size as possible, and the set comes with a total of 3,010 pieces.
Linking to LEGO’s 20th-anniversary golden minifigures, the LEGO group will reportedly also be launching a new gift with purchase to go alongside the Hogwarts Icons set, and it comes in the form of three additional golden minifigures.
These minifigures include Professor McGonagall, Albus Dumbledore, and Hagrid, all displayed on a neat plaque featuring a Chocolate Frog playing card.
There are currently no official details on the price of the set. However, it has a rumored price of $249.99.
In YouTuber Ashnflash’s latest video, he mentions that he believes it is “going to be available starting on September 1,” but there is no information on when this will be officially announced. Since we’ve already seen the box art, 9to5Toys is guessing that the set may be showcased in the coming weeks, ahead of a potential launch next month.
It looks like it’s going to be an exciting set to build, so we have our wands crossed that the rumors are true!
