Giveaway: Nerdy Tees Has the House Shirts You’ve Been Waiting For

by Karmen Allison, Liz Young · April 10, 2022

To learn more about how MuggleNet benefits from this post, view our transparency statement.

While you may be familiar with Nerdy Ink and their gorgeous book dust jackets, you may not know about their new business, Nerdy Tees. Now you can show off your favorite books, movies, and shows as well as your nerdiest self with these fun new tees. Just as you’re probably wondering what this has to do with the world of Harry Potter, we have some great news for all of you Muggles and wizards alike. Nerdy Tees just launched their first set of Harry Potter-themed shirts: a Hogwarts Houses collection. We got a sneak peek before they went live, and we want to share the top five reasons you should buy these shirts for yourself (and your whole family).

Beautiful, Minimalist Designs

These House shirts feature a beautiful minimalist design that’s great for everyone. The linework was described as “regal” by one MuggleNet staff member, and we agree. The artwork, and what it represents, will be obvious to any Harry Potter fan, but it will simply look like a neat animal crest to your non-wizarding world friends. These designs have a way of popping off the tee without overcrowding the shirt itself with too much design.

Book-Accurate Mascots and Colors

Ravenclaws can rejoice because their shirt in this collection is book accurate. All of the shirts use the House colors and mascots described in the book series, not the film adaptations. Careful work was put in to make sure Hufflepuff’s badger didn’t look like a ferret, and the ink used for Ravenclaw’s eagle is a bronze color, even though it isn’t metallic. We are simply overjoyed with the accuracy of these magical tees.

Designed with the Family in Mind

These shirts aren’t only available in adult sizes! Youth sizes are also available, meaning you can buy a matching set for you and your family for your next trip to Universal Studios – or your next movie marathon on your couch. It’s hard to find matching Harry Potter shirts for families, with many children’s shirts looking vastly different, but with Nerdy Tees, that isn’t the case. Each of your family members, even your kindergartner, can wear a House shirt with pride.

Diverse Sizing

Adult sizing runs from a unisex small to 3XL. Children’s sizing includes youth small to youth XL, with a size small fitting a four- to five-year-old. With a size chart that shows the shirt length, shirt width, and sleeve length, you are sure to find a size that works best for you (and your little ones). We love the inclusion of all sizes in this beautiful collection.

Supporting Small Business

Though operated by the same individuals that operate Nerdy Ink, you are still supporting a small, family-owned business when you shop from Nerdy Tees. Their shirts are printed locally and quality checked. Adult shirts are printed on super soft and stretchy tri-blend shirts, so you don’t have to worry about getting a cool design on an uncomfortable fabric. Youth shirts are printed on 100% cotton tees. In addition to printing locally, hours upon hours went into the design of every shirt – including working with different artists – to ensure the shirts truly represent the fandom they’re inspired by.

You can pick up the adult and youth sizes of these shirts now through Nerdy Tees. If you’re planning a Potter-inspired trip this summer, now is the time to pick up matching shirts in everyone’s House. You can use code MUGGLE15 for 15% off your order through the month of April. Want a chance to win a shirt from the collection? Enter below before April 17 to put your name in the Sorting Hat to win one of these amazing House tees.

Potter Quote

“I know what you are known as. But to me, I’m afraid, you will always be Tom Riddle. It is one of the irritating things about old teachers. I am afraid that they never quite forget their charges’ youthful beginnings.”
