“Prisoner of Azkaban” MinaLima Illustrated Edition Reveals Cover and Release Date

After announcing the third book in its illustrated Harry Potter series last fall, graphic design team MinaLima has now revealed the cover of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, along with a look inside and when we can expect to get it in our hands.

The cover image features Harry and Hermione flying on Buckbeak in front of the full moon (similar to the original Bloomsbury cover), with the lake and Hogwarts below.

We’ve also been teased with a few inside spreads. The first shows Harry and other kids gathered admiringly around the Firebolt in Quality Quidditch Supplies in Diagon Alley. The second shows Trelawney’s Divination classroom at the start of Chapter 6, “Talons and Tea Leaves.” And the third shows professors inside the Three Broomsticks at Christmastime while shoppers stroll up Hogsmeade’s High Street.

In addition, there’s an enticing video that flips through the pages of the book and lands on a foldout of all kinds of colorful characters on the Knight Bus.

The hardcover book features over 190 illustrations, eight “interactive paper-engineered elements,” and gold foiling with embossed details. Published by Bloomsbury in the United Kingdom and Scholastic in the United States, this third book in the illustrated series comes in at 480 pages.

According to online retailers, it will be released on October 3, 2023, in both the UK and the US.

You can preorder a copy signed by Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima on MinaLima’s website for £40, or you can preorder the regular version from Bloomsbury, currently discounted at £36. The US list price is $39.99, currently discounted at the retailers below.
