As Dumbledore Is So Gay gets ready to takes its place back on the stage for its limited run, more exciting news has made its way to fans. In a press release, it was announced that not only would the coming-of-age story be brought back to life, but the original cast would be returning to the stage as well. Alex Britt, Max Percy, and Charolette Dowding will be reprising their roles as Jack, Ollie, and Gemma, respectively. Playwright Robert Holtom commented on the exciting news:
I’m over the moon the original cast are back. They made magic in 2020 and I can’t wait to see them do it all over again. Alex, Charlotte and Max bring such skill and depth to their roles, switching between sincerity and humour on a dime. We were all so keen to keep the show going and it’s such a privilege to have the team reunited.

Life is far from straight for Jack: he pines for his best friend while dodging bullies with minds as narrow as the cupboard under the stairs. And the official online quiz sorted him into Hufflepuff. On a mission to get the guy and re-write history in his favour, Jack uses his trusty Time[-]Turner to go back in time to right the wrongs of the past.

The story follows Jack as he navigates the tumultuous waters of adolescence, school bullies, and a blossoming romance with his best friend, Ollie. But when things take a turn for the worse, Jack takes advantage of a Time-Turner in his possession in an attempt to bring about the happy ending he so desperately wants. The Pleasance Theatre announced the revival of the beloved play for this fall.
