We posted yesterday about J.K. Rowling’s launch of Lumos USA, the New York City branch of the author’s charity that works to end the institutionalization of children around the world. Rowling launched the new branch by publishing an article about the necessity of Lumos’s work and by holding a press conference atop the Empire State Building. This prestigious accolade honors humanitarians who work to change lives around the world.
