Fans had some exciting news earlier this week when the title and release date of J.K. Rowling’s second Cormoran Strike novel was announced and when it was revealed that she would be promoting the book at the Theakston Old Peculiar Crime Writing Festival. Now, The Silkworm is available for pre-order on Amazon, Amazon UK and Waterstones.
Following yesterday’s announcement that the follow-up novel to The Cuckoo’s Calling, entitled The Silkworm, would be released this June, Robert Galbraith’s official website has been updated with more information about the book and its release.

Yesterday, J.K. Rowling made an appearance at the Sheldonian Theatre, in honor of Exeter College’s 700th birthday. The Evening Standard reported that she spoke of writing under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith for The Cuckoo’s Calling and is said to have taken great pleasure in the book being rejected to begin with. She also spoke of writing male characters and how she got inspiration for doing so.
The recent Emma Watson and J.K. Rowling interview in Wonderland Magazine this week was dominated by talk of the Harry Potter trio, Harry, Ron and Hermione. But the duo also found time to talk about the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them film and the upcoming Harry Potter stage show.
