The Rose Theatre Kingston has announced the cast for Richard Bean’s Smack Family Robinson, which will have a limited run from March 28 through April 20. The play will be directed by Richard Wilson and features Keith Allen and Denise Welch as reprobate parents and Kate Lamb, Matthew Wilson and Harry Melling – who portrayed Dudley Dursley in the Harry Potter film franchise – as their troubled children.
Speaking with Yahoo! News, Daniel Radcliffe has talked of getting work post-Potter and how “incredibly proud” he is of having played the boy wizard. In a recent interview to promote his upcoming return to the London stage in The Cripple of Inishmaan, Radcliffe commented that he felt “like everyone wanted Potter to be more of a handcuff than it actually was.”
