Coming off the heels of the ill-fated Lifetime biographical film Liz & Dick, which starred Lindsay Lohan in a comeback role playing the part of Elizabeth Taylor – a British-American film icon – BBC Four has announced plans for a new movie proudly made in Britain, featuring Bellatrix Lestrange actress Helena Bonham Carter.
Rumors say the Harry Potter characters will appear in the queue for the ride and celebrate a new school year. The line to ride the train will obviously be a lengthy one, so the storyline may imply that the long lines are due to the new school year at Hogwarts beginning.
100th London Critics’ Circle Awards – January 20, 2013
MuggleNet was at the London Critics’ Circle’s 33rd annual film awards to talk to “Potter” alumni Toby Jones, Mike Newell, and Helena Bonham Carter.
Yesterday, we reported a story that appeared in The Sun regarding Helena Bonham Carter filming scenes as Bellatrix Lestrange for what they termed a “mini-movie” that would be shown in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme parks.
According to The Sun, several actors including Helena Bonham Carter – who portrayed Bellatrix Lestrange in the Harry Potter film series – have been back in character recently to film a new “mini-movie” for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme parks
Her work was described as “packed with iconic, offbeat characters, each of which she invests with an unusual spark of humanity” by the Chair of the Critics’ Circle Film Awards, Rich Cline. This “unusual spark of humanity” has certainly made Helena Bonham Carter, who portrayed Bellatrix Lestrange in the Harry Potter films, a unique actress who dazzles in every one of her performances. The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Bonham Carter will be the recipient of the Dilys Powell Award for excellence in film at the 33rd London Critics’ Circle Film Awards.
