It’s been three days since the script book of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” was unleashed upon the world, and love it or hate it, you can’t deny one thing – the book’s tremendous selling power. This morning, Scholastic announced that sales within the first two days of release reached over 2 million copies.
Although preview performances of the play began last month, today, July 30, marks the official opening of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” on London’s West End! Is a Broadway transfer in its future?
Those of us who are unable to make it London to see “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” are counting down the days until the script is released – it won’t be long now! To celebrate this momentous occasion, Waterstones is hosting a drawing to win one of seven copies of the book signed by J.K. Rowling, John Tiffany, and Jack Thorne!
Previews for “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” are now well underway, and while fans are keeping tight lipped about the content of the play, the reaction has been positive. The show does not officially open until the end of July, and in a new interview with the “Sunday Times Culture Magazine”, Noma Dumezweni spoke about her role as Hermione and embracing her true self.

Get your alarms set! Public booking for “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” will open tomorrow at 11 a.m. GMT, and to ensure that fans are given the best possible chance of obtaining tickets for the show, the producers will open up a further booking period, which runs from January 11, 2017, to April 30, 2017. With the exception of late release and lottery tickets, as of 11 a.m. tomorrow, all available tickets will be on public sale!
