ISU Honors Program hosts “A Very Potter Party” for JK Rowling’s charity-Lumos

Students in the Honors Program at Illinois State University held a Potter-themed charity event called “A Very Potter Party“. This gathering included food, such as Cauldron Cakes and Licorice Wands; fund-raising games, such as the Dementor Kissing Booth and Azkaban Prison; costume contests, and more all to celebrate the students’ love for Harry Potter as well as to raise money for JK Rowling’s charity, Lumos.

The Lumos charity helps under-privledged children in Eastern Europe, which the students at ISU felt compelled to donate to.

“This party was a great way for honors students to connect over their love of such a great literary and film series,” Biggs said.
