Movie Review: “What If”, Starring Daniel Radcliffe

The taglines of Daniel Radcliffe’s new film, What If, reads like someone’s diary. But – aren’t they true? Who hasn’t been in that situation? You meet someone who is so “perfect” for you in so many ways, and they are either attached or unavailable. I think exactly this – the truthful, honest nature of the film – is what makes it total and complete success.

Pottermore Moments Revisited: A New Look at Pottermore

Recently, I spent some time in London. One of my favorite things was having the opportunity to go to the Warner Brothers Studio Tour: The Making of Harry Potter. Before my friends and I went, however, I, as the resident “Potter” fanatic, insisted that everyone be Sorted through the official Pottermore Sorting. For the first time in a long time, I actually visited Pottermore. I, like a lot of die-hard “Potter” fans, have become a bit disenchanted with the site over time. After a round of new chapters, there was nothing for me to go back for; I had all the new information. As I watched some of my friends explore the site for the first time, struggle with spell casting, and sit through class waiting for potions to mature, the idea popped into my head: What if I went back and explored Pottermore again? And further, what if I went back through it the way it was designed, as a companion to the books?

Diagon Alley Roundup – Part 4: Shake, rattle, and roll

We were privy to two performances, a set of songs by the lovely Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees and a performance of “The Tale of the Three Brothers,” as seen in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1”. Both take place in the heart of Carkitt Market, which makes up a majority of Horizont Alley.
