The sudden and unexpected loss of Helen McCrory (Narcissa Malfoy) took the fandom by surprise. Her illustrious career of nearly 30 years onstage and on-screen meant she crossed paths with many other talented actors, and to say that the collective sadness we feel is palpable is an understatement. The Potter community won’t be the same without her. She will be sorely missed by all.

Turns out I did see her onstage, at the Old Vic in 2019. She was performing a monologue, playing a Welsh nurse. 30 secs in she (not breaking character) said 'damn it let's try that again' and just… Did it again. Smashed it. We were putty in her hands. Iconic.
