“Secrets of Dumbledore” Character Posters Tease “Dumbledore’s First Army”

A slew of new character posters released on social media this morning has got us hyped for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. Eighteen – count ’em up – 18 new character posters have been released ahead of the new trailer that is expected on Thursday.

The first group is described as Dumbledore’s first army and includes Dumbledore, Newt, Jacob, Eulalie Hicks, Theseus, Bunty, Yusuf Kama, Aberforth, and a couple of creatures: Pickett the Bowtruckle and – named for the first time – Teddy the Niffler!

The second group features Grindelwald and his followers, including Grindelwald himself, Credence, Queenie, Vinda Rosier, and a new character named Helmut.

The third is a group of international wizards, all new characters. Anton Vogel is the German Head of the International Confederation of Wizards. Vicência Santos is from Brazil, as previously announced by the actress herself. And Liu Tao is likely from China, based on his name and reports that China will be featured in the film.

Noticeably absent from the posters is Tina, lending credence to reports that she will have a very small role in the film. Also absent is Nagini, seemingly confirming that she will be absent from the film entirely.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore hits theaters on April 8 in the United Kingdom and April 15 in the United States. You can view the first trailer again here.
