Gamers Anticipate Puzzles and Possible November Release of “Hogwarts Legacy”

There is nothing quite like anticipation, a fact that gamers eager for the release of Hogwarts Legacy know all too well. Since it was first announced in 2020, Warner Bros. has tantalizingly trickled information to fans in a series of trailers and videos. The short clips have provided exciting glimpses of the grounds of Hogwarts, as well as hints about the special features of the game that are nothing short of maddening. This week is no different.

The Hogwarts Legacy team once again took to Twitter with a short clip, teasing a variety of magical puzzles and hidden challenges that players will solve throughout the game. In the 17-second clip, a character can be seen opening scrolls and accessing hidden corridors, lending credence to fans excited to be able to fully explore the castle and its grounds.

The video, posted on June 8, has gathered over 245 thousand views. The many tweets in reply largely resound with the same plea: Release the date.

Hogwarts Legacy Release

It is on this front that we may, at last, have some encouraging news. While Legacy is strongly linked to the PlayStation and includes some features exclusive to the brand, it is Xbox that may have come through with some crucial information. At the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase on June 12, Xbox revealed an image intended to promote the new games coming out over the next 12 months.

You’ll see that the image splits the games into two categories: 2022 and 2023. The gaming news site Gaming INTEL goes further to note that the 2022 section appears to be chronological – the Microsoft Flight Simulator on Legacy‘s immediate left is aiming for a November release, whereas The Callisto Protocol on the far right will be released on December 2. Given this intentional ordering, it appears that Hogwarts Legacy may be slated for release in November.

That is certainly a potential date worth celebrating.
