Now, an online poll has named Emma the feminist celebrity of the year.

In a new piece for the “Guardian”, J.K. Rowling has written about why she set up her charity, Lumos, and why it’s important to change the way things are. Jo set up Lumos after reading about the way that millions of children are locked away in institutions across Europe.

I’m sure you all remember J.K.Rowling’s Harvard speech in 2008, where she talked about the benefits of failure. Now, Little, Brown Book Group have announced that they are to publish an illustrated version of the speech, called “Very Good Lives”, in 2015.

Only earlier this week, producer David Heyman spoke about the upcoming “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” film, revealing that J.K. Rowling had finished the script. In a new video, David spoke some more about the upcoming film and when they will start casting.
UPDATED: Lumos Launches Indiegogo Campaign, Includes “Potter”-Related Perks
Lumos, the charity founded by J.K. Rowling, recently released a video highlighting the life of many European children in orphanages and institutions. The feature, called “Behind the Walls,” was a chilling reminder of the way that thousands of children are forced to live. Now, Lumos has launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise money to help these children.
