Annotated by J.K. Rowling in 2013, a rare edition of “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” will be officially on display in Edinburgh from December 8 until January 8. Fans will definitely want to check this out!

October 4 marked the release of the illustrated edition of “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets”! You can now pick up either the Standard Edition or the Deluxe Edition at most retailers. To celebrate its launch, we attended a release event with Jim Kay at the House of Illustration in London. Here are five things we learned about the new book!

Bloomsbury UK is gearing up for a big year with the 20th anniversary celebrations of the publication of “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” looming. The anniversary of the first “Harry Potter” book will be celebrated on June 26, 2017, and in order to celebrate the date, Bloomsbury is planning several special occasions.
The “Harry Potter” books have won the top spot in a new BBC poll asking adults which book they think every child should read – not that we’re surprised!
The Jim Kay “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” illustrated edition will be released this coming October, following on from the stunning “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone/Sorcerer’s Stone” that was released last year. Just like with the first in the series, Bloomsbury UK has announced that there will be an exclusive deluxe edition.

Remember the extreme security and the fear of leaks surrounding the release of the last few “Harry Potter” books? We’re now learning that even GCHQ, the UK’s secret intelligence agency, was involved in helping prevent “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” from leaking online in 2005.

We’re extremely excited here at MuggleNet today because the first look at Jim Kay’s upcoming illustrated “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” has been revealed. The first fully illustrated book in the series, “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone/Sorcerer’s Stone”, was released last October, and since then, we’ve been waiting to learn more about the next in the series.
