“CBGB” to be screened at Cannes, new images and posters released

We reported last year that Rupert Grint had been cast in CBGB, a film based on the owner and founder of the New York Club of the same name. In the movie, Rupert will play Cheetah Chrome, the guitarist of the punk band The Dead Boys. Alan Rickman will also star in the film as club owner Hilly Kristal.

Local Severna Park youth build – and race – Hogwarts Express Go-Kart

The kids of Saverna Park, Maryland are pretty magical, don’t you think? A group of twelve kids from five families ranging in age from 8-14 have constructed a working Hogwarts Express Go-Kart, and yesterday raced it in the annual American Visionary Art Museum’s kinetic sculpture race – a 15-mile-long race across Baltimore.

Helena Bonham Carter to appear in BBC TV spy thrillers

It has recently been announced that Helena Bonham Carter, who portrays Bellatrix Lestrange in the Harry Potter films, will play an MI5 agent in two thrillers produced by BBC TV. The two films, called Turks & Caicos and Salting the Battlefield, are part of The Worricker Trilogy.
