Our MuggleNet Throwback this week takes a look at several of the most of the most exciting book releases from the “Harry Potter” series.
While “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” will be forever celebrated as the largest and most anticipated book release worldwide, three of the books from the series were released during this particular week.
What “batter” way to celebrate the wizarding world heroes than to team up with Dinah Bucholz, the author of “The Unofficial Harry Potter Cookbook”, and bring you our “sweetest” contest to date…
After the announcement this morning about “Chamber of Secrets” coming “very soon” to Pottermore, and a new school year starting (in the virtual world, at least!), it seemed fitting to feature the gorgeous steam engine known as the Hogwarts Express for this week’s delve into the wonderful interactive world of Pottermore.
During the month of July, MuggleNet Interactive will celebrate the five-year anniversary of the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows through a YouTube video campaign. The fifth anniversary officially lands on July 21, 2012, and MNI invites Potter fans across the globe to join in the Five Years Video Campaign.
We would like to extend a very happy birthday to the actors, actresses, characters, and MuggleNet staff members who make the Potter series so successful today.
The sixth episode of our new Potter podcast Alohomora! is now available for download. Listen in as MuggleNet hosts Noah, Kat, and Caleb are joined by special guest host Steve Vander Ark, author of the Harry Potter Lexicon, to continue the exciting journey through the Harry Potter series. For this episode, the subject of discussion was chapters 13-14 of Philosopher’s Stone.
Ever since the additions of the Alohomora! and Academia sections/podcasts to the site, fans have had a great deal to discuss regarding their favorite book series. All the while the MuggleNet Editorials section has been actively following this intelligent discourse, and some of the most thrilling arguments have been featured as the MuggleNet Quibble of the Week.
This week we’d like to do this again, and feature a quibble written in our Alohomora! section by Ali Wood about the ethics of Transfiguration. Read it at this link!
Harry Potter star Rupert Grint and producer David Heyman will join Warner Brothers representative Josh Berger at the London Olympic Games to discuss the success of the UK film industry on July 31.
The three will speak on the Creative Content Day during the UK Trade and Investment’s international business legacy programme, which focuses on commercializing creativity in the international marketplace. Grint, Heyman, and Berger will specifically discuss the success of the Harry Potter films.
