It’s Katherine Waterston’s day off, but she’s gamely come out to speak with us at Leavesden anyway. Waterston has thought a lot about her character Tina Goldstein and her place in the magical world, and it’s immediately apparent that she’s just the type of person in whom fans want to rest their hopes for the future of Rowling’s cinematic world. I have the feeling she won’t let us down.
From what we’ve seen in the trailers and stills released so far, it’s clear that Katherine Waterston is the perfect casting for Tina in “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”. However, in a recent interview with “Entertainment Weekly”, Katherine Waterston admitted that she didn’t think that she would get the part at all.
