Thanks to the recent partnership between Pottermore and Sport Relief, you can now earn steps for your Hogwarts House in this year’s Billion Steps Challenge.
Whatever your beliefs, donating to charity is a magical way to help those who are less fortunate, so we’ve rounded up a list of ten charities to donate to whose aims are close to the values displayed in the “Harry Potter” series!
December is here, and our magical alumni are getting into the holiday spirit! Find out more about their latest projects, including a special single for Lumos!
Our cast members are still busy in the lead-up to Christmas; plus, they’re busy spreading love on behalf of Lumos.
If you’re in a giving mood this holiday season, a donation to J.K. Rowling’s children’s charity, Lumos, could result in a few extra gifts for yourself as well!
Lumos has been honored as a finalist in the upcoming 100&Change Competition put on by the MacArthur Institute! The competition awards a hefty donation to the winning charity. Good luck, Lumos team!
Two more people will have the chance to win a trip to London to meet the cast of “Fantastic Beasts”!
The artist behind a signed Newt Scamander painting being offered by Lumos in its latest campaign is also an author – and J.K. Rowling has written the foreword to his memoir!

It’s high time I paid homage to the mighty MuggleNet. Where to start? I love the design, (I currently favour the ‘Dementor’ layout), the polls (I actually voted in the ‘Who’s the Half-Blood Prince?’ one), the pretty-much-exhaustive information on all books and films, the wonderful editorials (more insight there than in several companion volumes I shall not name), 101 Ways to Annoy Lord Voldemort (made me laugh aloud), the Wall of Shame (nearly as funny as some of the stuff I get)… pretty much everything. Webmaster Emerson, Eric, Jamie, Damon, Ben, Matthew, Rachel, Jaymz and Sharon, I salute you.
